Yes. I did make an Amy Pond scarf out of lace-weight yarn using an antique lace pattern called Frost Flowers. It took a while.

Aren’t these beautiful flowers? They’re for our second anniversary (which was on January 25th). Believe it or not, the Boyfriend got me the roses and the wildflowers; the wildflowers were decoy flowers that he put nearer to the front door than the roses. What a goober.

So on Sunday I finished knitting a tunic I’d been making since before I started university. Before you say, “oh wow, that’s a pretty long project” - my mother and I both managed to misplace the pattern after I had finished the back piece and was already into the front piece. So it sat there, waiting for the pattern to be found, for like four years. And then I finished it in about 2 weeks once it was found. I have to say, I am pretty proud of my past self for knowing how big neutrals were going to be four years later. I don’t know if you can see the pattern as well as I’d hoped in this pictures, but basically it’s a pattern of alternating squares that shrink as you get nearer to the top of the tunic. Dead simple to knit, because I was starting slow.

Now, however, once I’ve finished my two other projects (two cross-stiches I’ve had on the go for a while), I’m going to start trying to master interstasia.
