This was a Sunday outfit, which clearly means I didn’t leave the house and adding shoes to this outfit would be superfluous. But it was cute regardless - look! Sparkly tights that actually look acceptably/remotely casual! I hope, anyway. I was also pretty obsessed with this scarf after I got it - its colors are perfect for any outfit.

I got this scarf from my mother in the mail, a belated souvenir from her trip to New York, and immediately fell in love with it. I’ve always looked at ones of this texture and fabric in stores and coveted them, but found it hard to shell out for another scarf. As I was telling my younger brother, that’s the best way to buy a good gift for a woman: just go into a few stores with her and see what she sighs over but then puts back on the shelf. We are all masters of self-denial; what varies is our threshold for it.
