This isn’t an official outfit post. You can tell by my goofy socks. Anywhere, this is me helping my parents put up their Christmas tree. This goofy smile is me at Christmas. Permanently.

Thrifted this lovely skirt last weekend. Adore it. The best wool skirts are always, always thrifted.

Looking at this picture two days after the fact, the outfit looks a lot better here than I thought it did at the time. I got this sky-blue cargo-esque dress from Anthropologie during Boxing Day sales, and like many Boxing Day sales, I’ve often wondered if it fit quite right. I like this. I really think the scarf does something great for the outfit - I thrifted this scarf back out in Nova Scotia. Oh, thrifting. Why don’t I commit more effort to you? Maybe this weekend I should.

What a horrendous day. Rain! Heavy rain all day! I needed something warm, but refused to look like a slob, so I busted out this skirt, which I doubt is actually appropriate for the office but which I wore anyway. It’s the brightest cobalt blue and I love pairing it with this thrifted pseudo-Breton stripe because the shirt is so baggy and casual and the skirt is working overtime.
Oh, and this is my official rainy-day hairstyle: upside-down french braid. It barely makes any sense but it still looks okay when it gets wet.
